WHAT YOUR SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIP WOULD LOOK LIKE
WE ARE EXCITED TO SHOW YOU WHAT GOD IS DOING IN PLAYA AZUL THROUGH OUR LOCAL CHURCH AND HOW A ONE WEEK SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIP COULD
CONTRIBUTE TO OUR COMMUNITY.
Examples of the social projects that we do in a short-term mission trip to help us accomplish the 6 goals of the camp are:
Repairing or building community playgrounds
Repairing or building community sidewalks
Repairing or building community dumpsters
Putting light posts on the streets
Repairing or building homes
Repairing or building churches outside of our community
Repairing or building kids classrooms
​YOU WILL BE SUPPORTING OUR MISSION OF ADVANCING THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST IN THIS TOWN, BY STAYING AT OUR CAMP FACILITIES, PROVIDING HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE AND MINISTERING TO OUR PEOPLE.
YOUR ONE-WEEK MISSION TRIP CAN LOOK LIKE THE SCHEDULE IN THE TABLE BELOW. ALL OF YOUR MEALS IN THE CAMP AND TRANSPORTATION WILL BE INCLUDED WITH THE EXCEPTION OF YOUR REST DAY ACTIVITIES AND OUTSIDE OF CAMP MEALS COSTS.
Day 1:
Greetings!

We will pick you up from the airport
-
Take you to try Costa Rican food near the airport.
-
Drop you off at the Camp safely.
-
Introduce the CCPA Staff (Church members), rules and itinerary.
Day 2:
Exploratory and organization day:
-
We will have breakfast and worship the Lord together with the whole church.

Take a Crocodile Tour
-
Get to know the town and explain how we will be working on different parts of the town and what construction projects we will be doing.

Organize materials, groups, and group leaders for each task for the different construction projects that will be done that week.

There are usually four teams:

Painting team
-
Concrete team
-
Cleaning team
-
Praying team
-

We will organize the ministry time with kids, young adults, women, or elderly people. It depends on the needs of the church at the time after the work schedule.

Day 3:
Workday and ministry time:

Breakfast from 7:30 am to 8:00 am

Work from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm

Lunch from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
-
ministry time or study group with young adults, women or elderly people from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Day 4:
Workday and ministry time:

Breakfast from 7:30 am to 8:00 am

Work from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm

Lunch from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

ministry time from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Dinner from 6:30 – 7:00 pm

Day 5:
Workday and ministry time:

Breakfast from 7:30 am to 8:00 am

Work from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm

Lunch from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

ministry time from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Dinner from 6:30 – 7:00 pm

Day 6:
Rest day:(These costs are not covered by camp fees)

On these days there are different options:

Fishing tour

ATV Tour
-
Surf lessons
-
Day on the beach

Hiking to a waterfall

Horseback riding

We will bring you lunch from the camp if that is what you’d like, or you could eat at any restaurant outside of the camp also. If your choice is to eat outside of the camp, we can take the food from the restaurant to where you will be resting with part of our staff.

Day 7:
Workday, ministry time and Costa Rican farewell:

Costa Rican BBQ with the church from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Day 8:
Drop off:

Breakfast will be served, and members of the church will pray for the team.

Last pictures with finished projects.

We will drive you to the airport safely.
* If someone is allergic to any kind of food, we will have something ready for that person.
* We are now welcoming two-week mission trips too
IT IS OUR DESIRE TO MAKE SURE YOU FEEL SAFE AND ACCOMPANIED BY OUR STAFF IN EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO DURING YOUR STAY. IT IS OF GREAT IMPORTANCE THAT DURING THIS TIME YOU CAN FEEL LOVED, SERVED AND TAKEN CARE OF, KNOWING THAT AT THE SAME TIME YOU WILL BE TRYING TO DO THE SAME FOR US.

These goals and objectives of the camp are integrated and attained when your church comes on a short-term mission trip
Generate resources to sustain the local church in a poor town in Costa Rica
Prepare, send, and support missionaries around the world
Have an impact in the community by doing social work
Bring sound doctrinal resources to Costa Rica
Provide a safe recreational center for the community
Provide jobs for the local people
